A weekly occurrence?
Bears safety Brandon Meriweather has been fined $25,000 for his hit on Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson on Monday night, Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Last week, Meriweather was fined $20,000 for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith.
During the 2010 season, Meriweather, then with the Patriots, was fined $50,000 for a hit on Baltimore Ravens tight end Todd Heap. Meriweather appealed that fine, which was reduced to $40,000.
Who’s the target this week? Percy Harvin?
